Upon your arrival today, a member of our ground team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel, where you'll be spending your first night. Take this time to recover from your international flight, explore local shops, or visit some of Kathmandu's fascinating sites. We highly recommend spending two nights here to fully experience the UNESCO World Heritage sites the city has to offer. Please let us know if you would like to add an extra night pre-trek.
This evening, we'll gather for a briefing and welcome dinner, where you'll have the opportunity to meet your fellow travellers and your guide, who will accompany you throughout your trek.

DAY 3 Phakding > Namche Bazaar (3,440m / 11,286ft)
Today, we will start the day with breakfast around 8am before setting off on our trek to Namche Bazaar. This part of the trail includes some steeper sections and quite a few steps, so be prepared for a bit of a challenge. Along the way, we'll cross the famous Hillary Bridge, an iconic part of the journey. The trek to Namche Bazaar should take us around 4 to 6 hours, depending on our pace. Once we arrive, we'll settle in and spend the night in Namche, enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of this bustling Sherpa town.
Accommodation: Tea House · Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + 1 hot drink at every meal
DAY 4 Namche Bazaar Acclimatisation
Today, we'll enjoy a well-deserved rest day in the vibrant town of Namche Bazaar, giving our bodies time to acclimatise to the higher altitude. In the morning, we'll embark on a short acclimatisation hike, which will not only help us adjust but also offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Our destination is the Everest View Hotel, renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks. Afterward, we'll return to Namche Bazaar, where the rest of the day is free for you to explore the town, visit local shops, or simply relax and recharge for the days ahead.

DAY 5 Namche Bazaar > Deboche (3,820m / 12,660ft)
Today, we will trek to Debouche, passing through the picturesque village of Tengboche along the way. Tengboche is known for its historic monastery, the oldest in the Khumbu region, which we will take some time to explore. After visiting the monastery, we'll continue our journey, descending into Debouche, where we will settle in for the night.
Accommodation: Tea House · Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + 1 hot drink at every meal
DAY 6 Deboche > Dingboche (4,410m / 14,468ft)
After breakfast, we will set off on today's trek from Debouche to Dingboche. Our route will lead us through the charming village of Pangboche, where we'll stop for a coffee break or lunch and take in the stunning views. As we continue our climb, you may start to feel the effects of the increasing altitude, which is perfectly normal and a sign that we're gaining elevation.
Once we arrive in Dingboche, we will settle in and spend the next two nights here, giving us the opportunity to acclimatise properly while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of this high-altitude village.
Accommodation: Tea House · Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + 1 hot drink at every meal
DAY 7 Dingboche Acclimatisation
Today, we will spend the day in Dingboche, allowing ourselves a more relaxed morning to recharge. Later, we will set off on a hike up to Nangkartshang Peak as part of our acclimatisation process. This ascent will take approximately two to three hours, reaching an altitude of around 5,100 metres, and will reward us with breathtaking views of Ama Dablam and the surrounding peaks. In the afternoon, you are free to explore Dingboche at your own pace.
Accommodation: Tea House · Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + 1 hot drink at every meal
DAY 8 Dingboche > Chhukung (4,730m / 15,518ft)
Today will be a short, easy walk up the Imja Valley to the small settlement of Chhukung, taking around 2 to 3 hours. Along the way, the huge South Face of Lhotse will rise ahead of you, with Island Peak and Ama Dablam close by.
After lunch, you'll climb Chhukung Ri (5,550m / 18,209ft), one of the best viewpoints in the Khumbu. It will be a tough climb, but the panoramic views of Lhotse, Makalu, Island Peak and the surrounding glaciers will make every step worthwhile. It will also be great preparation for tomorrow's first pass. You'll then head back down to Chhukung for the night.
Accommodation: Tea House · Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + 1 hot drink at every meal
DAY 9 Chhukung > Kongma La (5,535m / 18,159ft) > Lobuche (4,910m / 16,109ft)
Today will be a big day as you cross your first high pass! Kongma La is the highest and quietest of the three passes, so you'll set off very early with a packed lunch. The climb will be long and steady, passing small frozen lakes near the top, before you reach the prayer flags at the summit of the pass. You'll have time to soak in the views of Makalu, Ama Dablam and the surrounding peaks.
From the top, you'll make a steep, rocky descent before crossing the Khumbu Glacier to reach Lobuche. It will be a long day of around 7 to 8 hours, but what an achievement! Tonight, you'll join the main Everest Base Camp trail.
Accommodation: Tea House · Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + 1 hot drink at every meal
DAY 10 Lobuche > Gorak Shep > Everest Base Camp (5,364m / 17,598ft)
Today will be the day you've been waiting for!
You'll start by following the edge of the Khumbu Glacier to Gorak Shep, the last settlement on the trail, which will take around 2 to 3 hours. After a hearty lunch, you'll head out along the rocky moraine towards Everest Base Camp. There will be no rush, so you can take your time.
You'll finally reach the foot of the world's highest mountain. Congratulations! You won't be able to see Everest's summit from Base Camp, but the view of the Khumbu Icefall tumbling down in front of you will be unforgettable. If you're trekking in spring, you might even spot the colourful expedition tents dotted across the glacier. After plenty of photos, you'll walk back to Gorak Shep for the night. It will be a long day of around 7 to 8 hours in total.
Accommodation: Tea House · Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + 1 hot drink at every meal
DAY 11 Gorak Shep > Kala Patthar (5,545m / 18,192ft) > Dzongla (4,830m / 15,846ft)
It will be an early alarm today! You'll head out in the dark with your head torch for the climb up Kala Patthar, the highest point of your trek. It will take around 2 hours to reach the top, just in time to watch the sun rise behind Everest. This will be the best view of the summit on the whole trip, so you'll want your camera batteries charged!
After coming back down to Gorak Shep for breakfast, you'll retrace your steps towards Lobuche before branching off west on a quieter trail to Dzongla. Leaving the crowds behind, you'll walk beneath the dramatic peaks of Cholatse and Taboche. The tea houses in Dzongla will be simple and cosy, and after around 7 hours on the trail, you'll be ready for a warm meal and an early night.
Accommodation: Tea House · Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + 1 hot drink at every meal
DAY 12 Dzongla > Cho La (5,420m / 17,782ft) > Dragnag (4,700m / 15,420ft)
Today you'll cross your second high pass, and it will be one of the most exciting days of the trek. After an early breakfast, you'll climb steadily up a rocky valley before scrambling over boulders onto the Cho La Glacier, which will lead you up to the pass. Depending on conditions, the glacier may be icy and you might need microspikes, so you'll need to take your time and follow your guide closely.
Reaching the prayer flags at the top of Cho La will be a real highlight, with amazing views back across the Khumbu and ahead towards Gokyo. From here, you'll make a steep, rocky descent to the small village of Dragnag. It will be a challenging day of around 7 to 8 hours, so you'll have earned a good rest tonight!
Accommodation: Tea House · Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + 1 hot drink at every meal
DAY 13 Dragnag > Gokyo Village (4,790m / 15,715ft)
After yesterday's big effort, today will be a shorter walk of around 3 hours. You'll cross the Ngozumpa Glacier, the longest glacier in Nepal, picking your way over its rocky, rolling surface with your guide leading the way.
Then you'll get your first view of the Gokyo Lakes, and they'll take your breath away. You'll stay in Gokyo village, on the shore of the third lake, Dudh Pokhari, with its turquoise water framed by snowy peaks. You'll arrive in time for lunch, leaving the afternoon free to relax by the lake and rest your legs.
Accommodation: Tea House · Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + 1 hot drink at every meal
DAY 14 Gokyo (4,790m / 15,715ft)
Early this morning, you'll climb Gokyo Ri, which will take around 2 to 3 hours. Many say the view from the top is the best in the whole Everest region, and you'll soon see why! From the summit, you'll see four of the world's 8,000m peaks: Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu, with the Gokyo Lakes and the Ngozumpa Glacier stretched out below.
You'll head back down to Gokyo for a late breakfast, and the rest of the day will be yours. If you still have energy, you'll be able to walk up the valley to the fourth lake, or simply relax and rest up for your final pass tomorrow.
Accommodation: Tea House · Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + 1 hot drink at every meal
DAY 15 Gokyo > Renjo La (5,360m / 17,585ft) > Marlung (4,210m / 13,812ft)
Today you'll cross your third and final pass! You'll set off early, following the edge of the lake before climbing steadily towards Renjo La. Near the top, a well built stone staircase will help you up the final section. From the pass, you'll look back over the Gokyo Lakes with Everest rising behind them, one of the most beautiful views of the entire trek. You'll have time to enjoy it, and you'll have earned it!
From here, you'll descend into the remote Bhote Koshi valley, passing through Lungden before reaching Marlung. It will be a long day of around 7 to 8 hours, but by the end of it, you'll have crossed all three passes. Congratulations!
Accommodation: Tea House · Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + 1 hot drink at every meal
DAY 16 Marlung > Thame > Namche Bazaar (3,440m / 11,286ft)
Today will be a much gentler day as you follow the Bhote Koshi River downhill through traditional Sherpa villages. You'll stop in Thame, where Tenzing Norgay spent his childhood, and visit its hillside monastery if time allows. From here, the trail will wind through forest back to Namche Bazaar, taking around 5 to 6 hours in total.
Back in Namche, it will be time to celebrate! You'll be able to treat yourself to a hot shower, a slice of cake from one of the bakeries, or a cold beer to toast your achievement.
Accommodation: Tea House · Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + 1 hot drink at every meal
DAY 17 Namche Bazaar > Lukla (2,860m / 9,383ft)
Today will be your final day of trekking! You'll head down the steep hill from Namche, back over the Hillary Bridge and along the Dudh Koshi through Monjo and Phakding. It will be a long day of around 6 to 7 hours, with a short but tough climb at the end into Lukla, so you'll need to dig deep!
This evening, you'll celebrate with your guides and porters, the incredible team who will have supported you every step of the way. It will be a lovely chance to say thank you and share stories from the trail.
Accommodation: Tea House · Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + 1 hot drink at every meal
DAY 18 Lukla > Kathmandu
You'll be up early for your flight back to either Kathmandu or Ramechhap. If you land in Ramechhap, it will be a drive of around 4 to 5 hours back to your hotel in Kathmandu. Once you've checked in, you'll be able to enjoy a long, hot shower and some proper rest.
Tonight, you'll head out for a celebration dinner and raise a glass to everything you've achieved.
Accommodation: Boutique Hotel · Dinner, Bed and Breakfast
DAY 19 Kathmandu Contingency Day
Flights in and out of Lukla depend on the weather, and delays are common. This spare day will make sure any disruption doesn't affect your flight home.
If everything runs to plan, the day will be yours to enjoy Kathmandu. You could visit Boudhanath Stupa, explore the temples of Durbar Square, pick up souvenirs in Thamel, or treat your tired legs to a massage!
Accommodation: Boutique Hotel · Bed and Breakfast
DAY 20 Farewell!
It's your last day in Nepal...until next time!
